Lake Nona Resort is anticipated to be the flagship property of the Tavistock Development Lake Nona community and contains a Crystal Lagoon. CALIC’s involvement began as building envelope consultant direct to Tavistock, which grew into other roles as the project progressed through schematic design.
CALIC’s initial thorough peer review of building envelope components naturally lead to an expanded role as overall design “quality control” manager. A detailed checklist was created, which was required to be completed and submitted by each consultant with every design milestone to mitigate the concern of incomplete design submissions.
The final roles for CALIC involved assisting Tavistock’s executive operational team with creating a program for the pool area and suggesting design changes for the interior layout of the building for operational enhancements.
