Job Summary:
The Construction Superintendent works collaboratively with project managers, subcontractors, architects, engineers, inspectors, Owners, governmental agencies, and other project stakeholders in the development and implementation of a project’s field efforts. Supervises and coordinates field construction activities to ensures that the client’s requirements regarding functionality and standards are met. Ensures compliance with construction procedures, Environmental, Department of Health, OSHA, and code requirements.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for implementation and compliance to the submitted safety plan for projects. Includes compliance to all regulatory (OSHA) requirements, and corporate and client governance requirements.

Responsible to attended Pre and Post Bid meetings providing input as appropriate and confirming existing site conditions against design documents.

Collaborates with Project Manager to develop site logistics plan, including staging areas, property access and traffic control.

Arbitrate on-site conflicts ensuring contractor and subcontractors are following contract drawings, schedule and specifications, applicable codes, and client standards.

Responsible to review, monitor and update project schedule, including 3-week look ahead with Project Manager.

Responsible for preparation and distribution of Daily Report of contractor work activities and compare accomplishments to contractor’s daily reports. Track onsite personnel, equipment used and progress.

Responsible for ensuring all issues are brought to Project Manager along with resolutions.

Skill/Experience Requirements
• Five years of applicable experience in Construction Management or Field Construction Supervision.
• Technically competent with various software programs, such as Microsoft suite of products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Demonstrated knowledge in construction activities and demonstrated knowledge of the project management process and construction contracting.
• Able to manage multiple priorities or complex construction site(s)
• Able to anticipates risks and make recommendations to mitigate adverse impacts.
• Able to communicate effectively with management, contractors, field personnel, consultants, and clients to achieve successful completion of projects beyond client’s expectations.
